A 1969 postcard of Stirling Castle in Scotland, with the photo taken from the west. The castle sits atop Castle Hill, an intrusive crag, which forms part of the Stirling Sill geological formation. It is surrounded on three sides by steep cliffs, giving it a strong defensive position.

1960s postcard of St Mary's lighthouse, Whtley Bay, Tyne & Wear (formerly Northumberland). I remember visiting here as a child and climbing all of the steps to the top. The lighthouse is on a small island but it's possible to walk across to it at low tide.<br />
